Our main character, his travails is what defines the comic book Dark Edge. Little is known about his past and his name. All he could remember are the images he gets when he touches the daggax, more is revealed as the tale goes on.

The mysterious One and a half feet long object - whose origin is as muddled in mystery as its true name - is the center of the Dark Edge saga. Little is known about its full abilities and consequences of using or even harnessing such abilities. But one thing is certain, The powers within the daggax can bless and, if used unwisely, destroy a generation.

»Ebele
Azim's Angel. Ebele is a 9 year old, pure water sales girl who was rescued by Azim from Area boys. She gave him the name Azim after an Indian film character that she felt Azim looked like. She ran away from home and despite Azim effort to get her home she has refused to go back. Her role in the dark Edge tale is being gradually revealed .

»Adeyemi Mapayanfigba
A rich Industrialist whose Philanthropic efforts have gotten him several awards. Beneath all these however, he’s the new leader of a strange coven that has ties with that object of beauty and fear called the daggax . He wants the daggax back at all cost. Back? For what? The mystery is soon unraveled.

»Umar Zanke
Apparently the only surviving members of the strange coven beside Adeyemi. He survived the onslaught of the Sinjin just by a hair’s breadth. Umar is a Hausa businessman with interests in oil and a little "off-the-grid" business from time to time. He, for personal reasons, wants both the daggax and its bearer. His trust in his new leader Adeyemi is at best vague.

»Maduike
Former head of the Coven of nine, who was ousted because of his "greed" and battled when he rebeled against the decision. He is presumed dead. However, his absence has done little to ease the anguish of the remaining members of the Coven of Nine who started to die mysteriously.

»Cloaked Figure
Mysteriously appearing and Disappearing, this character have been following Azim’s journey since his reawakening. His role in the Dark Edge saga is still unknown.

»Peju
This young, reluctant prostitute and Azim crossed paths, and she finds out that the mysterious blank-minded stranger may actually hold the key to a very tragic incident in her past. She’s the daughter of a Late and - until his death - Rich businessman.
